Appvia is launching its first new graduate engineering academy in several years, creating an initial cohort of six Graduate Platform Engineers who will join our AWS Practice and support a major new UK public sector programme.

This is an opportunity to begin your career in a growing, specialist technology consultancy where you will learn directly from experienced engineers while contributing to meaningful, real-world delivery.

You will not be one of hundreds of graduates following a generic training programme. You will join a small cohort, receive direct support from senior and principal engineers, and build practical experience across cloud, automation, DevOps, infrastructure, and modern platform engineering.

About the role

As a Graduate Platform Engineer, you will help design, build, support, and improve modern cloud platforms used by engineering teams to deliver software securely and efficiently. Your first project will be within Appvia’s AWS Practice, supporting a new platform engineering programme for a UK public sector customer.

Working alongside experienced consultants, you will develop practical skills across AWS, infrastructure as code, Linux, automation, CI/CD, containers, platform operations, and DevOps practices.

You will initially work with close support and guidance. As your experience grows, you will take greater ownership of engineering tasks, technical problem-solving, customer communication, and project delivery.
