This graduate position focuses on the development, scale-up, and manufacturing oversight of various drug product dosage forms (such as tablets, capsules, and liquids), offering hands-on training in processing techniques like blending and granulation within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

The Opportunity

Kick‑start your career in pharmaceutical development by applying your scientific knowledge in a real‑world setting. As a graduate at Almac, you’ll support the development and scale‑up of drug products, working alongside experienced scientists to help deliver medicines that improve patient outcomes.

Formulation Development Scientists will oversee the development of all aspects of the processes used in the manufacture of new and existing drug products; dosage forms will include tablets, capsules, sachets, liquids, creams and ointments.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are keen to apply their pharmaceutical knowledge and work within a multi‑disciplinary team while building strong foundations for a long‑term career in pharmaceutical development.

What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent level qualification) in Pharmacy, Chemical/Process Engineering or a similar technical discipline.

  • Practical experience or theoretical knowledge (from pharmaceutical industry or through modules in degree course) of drug product manufacturing techniques such as blending, granulation and tablet compression.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work on your own initiative whilst contributing within a team environment.

Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK, or possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time employment in the UK.

Additional Requirements:

This role may require coverage beyond normal working hours. It is a condition of your employment that you can fulfil this requirement of the role.
