What you will be doing
You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of AGGP2027 – Graduate EMH Lightning Direct Effects Engineering and can expect to be involved in the following:
1. You will contribute to our work as an Engineer in the field of EMH Lightning Direct Effects and Electrostatic Discharge within the Airbus Systems Engineering domain.
2. You will be involved in a variety of topics like standardisation, electrical architectures, certification and environmental qualification.
3. You may design and define commissioning or investigative tests, with the opportunity to interact with the test laboratories and witness LDE and ESD testing, concluding such activities with the delivery of analysis of test results and conclusions.
4. You will contribute to development of optimised lightning protection solutions for the design & development of aircraft fuel tank & fuel system protection using latest analytical & test techniques.
5. You will contribute to harmonised design solutions and policies that have multi-programme and multi-component benefits at aircraft level.
6. You will work closely with the fuel systems and structures departments, as one of our main missions is to provide protection to the fuel system and associated structure.
Your development journey will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.
At the end of the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of AGGP2027 – Graduate EMH Lightning Direct Effects Engineering Graduate!
What we look for
To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate;
- Educated to a degree level or equivalent withina Technical Degree ideally Electrical, Aeronautical, Mechanical or Physics based
- Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Engineering, ideally with a focus on loghtning effects
- Excellent Organisation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
- A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
- The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
