Built for individuals with strong analytical ability, commercial intensity, and a drive to operate in fast-moving global markets, the program provides immersive exposure to the physical commodities business across trading-adjacent functions.Participants will rotate through core commercial areas, gaining hands-on experience in how physical trades are structured, executed, priced, and risk-managed. The program blends on-the-job learning with formal training, mentorship from senior commercial professionals, and ongoing performance feedback to prepare participants for long-term careers in Tricon’s commercial organization, with progression toward trader-facing or commercial roles.International mobility is an important part of the program, and participants may be required to relocate to another Tricon office based on business needs, rotation opportunities, and long-term placement.Rotational Experience(may be adjusted based on business priorities and individual performance)OperationsParticipants will develop a commercial understanding of how disciplined, efficient operations enable profitable physical trading. This rotation focuses on how trades are executed, optimized, and controlled across their full lifecycle.Exposure to end-to-end commodity operations across global trade flowsContract execution, logistics coordination, documentation, and settlement processesInteraction with traders, counterparties, logistics providers, and internal teamsUnderstanding physical delivery, operational risks, and control frameworks Market IntelligenceThis rotation focuses on the analytical and commercial foundations that support trading decisions.Market analysis, price monitoring, and benchmark trackingSupply and demand fundamentals across regions and productsAnalysis of industry trends, trade flows, and geopolitical developmentsSupport for commercial strategy development and trading ideas Risk ManagementParticipants will build a solid understanding of how Tricon manages financial and non-financial risks throughout the trading lifecycle.Monitoring market risk, exposures, and position limitsPreparing P&L, position, and risk reportsSupporting risk governance, controls, and compliance processesAnalyzing risk drivers and potential impacts on trading performanceCollaborating with traders and commercial teams to promote risk-aware decisionsQualificationsThis program is intentionally challenging and designed for individuals who are motivated by global markets, complex problem-solving, and accountability.Minimum RequirementsDegree must be completed between December 2026 and August 2027.Degree in a relevant field including, but not limited to:Business, Finance, Economics, or Supply ChainChemical EngineeringMathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or AnalyticsOther quantitative or commercially focused disciplinesStrong academic performance demonstrating analytical rigor and intellectual curiosityFluency in English (written and spoken)Core CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with incomplete or ambiguous informationCommercial mindset and genuine interest in global trade and commodity marketsMental agility and resilience in fast-paced, high-accountability environmentsAbility to make sound decisions under time pressure and take ownership of outcomesClear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work across cultures and functionsHigh level of integrity, curiosity, and willingness to continuously learnDrive and self-motivation, with a proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership
