Studio PDP

This graduate Architectural Technician position focuses on producing high-standard technical drawings, construction models, and NBS specifications for prime residential, hospitality, and sustainable retrofit projects across RIBA stages 3 to 5.Studio PDP is looking for a graduate Architectural Technician to join our practice in Victoria, London. We are seeking a motivated and creative technician with strong technical skills to work on exciting projects across prime residential, hospitality and offices sectors predominantly focusing on RIBA stages 3 to 5 within our studio. Retrofit and sustainable/low energy design interest, skills or experience are a must. You will have an opportunity to join our in-house building physics team and receive training on u-value, cold bridging and moisture movement software that are critical to our exciting work on existing fabric and heritage projects.Key Responsibilities include:Producing technical and working drawings to a high standardAssisting with preparing detailed working drawings, designs and models, together with NBS specificationsAssisting with preparing and delivering presentations and reports of the highest standard at all stages of a projectHelping produce the project's deliverables under the guidance of the team leaderWorking well within a team with other architects, architectural technologists and assistants Working closely with contractors, other consultants and design team membersObserving and assisting with site inspections and quality controlObserving and assisting with meeting, briefing and discussing project requirements and constraints with consultants and dealing with queries, checking and commenting on information supplied by others, and bringing the technical information up to dateSkills Knowledge and QualificationsYou must be able to demonstrate that you have:A UK recognised BA/ BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology, HNC, HND or equivalentAbility to produce detailed drawingsAn understanding of low energy designPassivHaus knowledge Experience / knowledge of retrofit Skilled Revit user and fluency in Microsoft packages and Adobe packagesKnowledge of Fire Safety regulationsAble to demonstrate construction knowledgeContinuous development of technical knowledgeKnowledge of codes, practice standards, and industry expectationsWorking knowledge of UK legal and statutory regulations and processesGood communication and teamwork skillsStrong design and drawing skills Ability to work to deadlines A proactive attitude, and a willingness to contribute to wider practice groups and activitiesBenefitsWe offer a flexible benefits package include:22 days of annual leave, plus Christmas office closure. Option to buy extra annual leaveWellbeing, sports and social initiatives  Employee assistance programme Pension schemeLearning and development opportunities include:Weekly CPD sessionsAnnual career development reviewsMentoring programme Internally lead training and charrettes Personal development budget Bi-weekly creative talks, including visiting guest speakersConnections and opportunities with external organisations including NLA, LFA, and local schools and universities Salary: London Living Wage.Studio PDP is an Equal Opportunities Employer. About Studio PDPAs a practice we put people at the heart of what we do.
