A Graduate/Project Engineer role supporting mine waste and tailings projects through geotechnical analysis, site investigations, numerical modelling, design, reporting and construction supervision.SLR’s busy Mine Waste team has enjoyed continued commercial success across the globe in recent years. Recent changes in legislation and guidance, in the aftermath of the Brumadinho dam disaster in 2019, have seen a steep rise in the demand for consultancy services in relation to mine waste tailings dams. Consequently, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a senior grade engineer to join our mine waste team in Nottingham. Our mine waste team provides specialist services to the mining industry across a wide range of areas related to the management of tailings and waste rock, from ground investigation, analysis of laboratory and monitoring data, design (conceptual to detailed) to construction supervision and quality assurance. In delivering this support, SLR uses state of the art software to evaluate saturated and unsaturated flow regimes; perform deformation analyses, stability analyses and stress / strain analyses, and modelling of soil structure interaction. SLR is seeking a Graduate/Project Engineer to join our mine waste team in the UK, based in our Nottingham Office.
