Support the planning and delivery of autonomous drone (UAS) inspection missions for critical infrastructure by coordinating field operations, managing deployments, and collecting high-quality inspection data across the UK.Job DescriptionDo you want to work with advanced technology in real-world operational environments - not just in a lab or on paper? At sees.ai, we deploy autonomous UAS to inspect critical national infrastructure across the UK. This is an entry-level operations role for graduates who've already used UAS or technical field equipment to get a job done — in a survey, research project, inspection, or similar context — and who want to build a career at the sharp end of real-world UAS operations. The RoleThis is an operations-focused role. You'll be planning and delivering real UAS missions in live environments — where weather changes, access is constrained, and the quality of your preparation and judgement directly affects outcomes. Our UAS operate through software-based control systems and real-time dashboards. You don't need to be able to build them — you need to be able to plan, execute, and adapt when things don't go to plan. You'll split your time between field deployments across the UK and planning, analysis, and preparation at our Chichester base. This is a role for people who are genuinely energised by being out on operations — not just comfortable with it.What You'll Be DoingOperating UAS missions via software-based control systems and real-time dashboardsPlanning and coordinating deployments, balancing weather, logistics, and operational constraintsManaging site logistics including travel, access, accommodation, and contingenciesCapturing and validating inspection data in the fieldActing as the link between field operations and engineering — providing structured, useful feedbackMaintaining high safety and operational standards across all environmentsContributing to how we improve mission planning and execution as we scaleWho This Role Is Suited ToThis role suits people who combine technical grounding with a genuine enthusiasm for operational, field-based work. You'll likely have:A degree in a discipline that involves analysis, data, and judgement.Experience operating technical field equipment, UAS, or similar tools to get a job done — in a research project, survey, inspection, conservation, or operational role — not just flying recreationallyA genuine appetite for field work: you're as comfortable on a wind-swept site as you are in front of a screenAn innate curiosity about technology Excellent communication skillsWhat matters most is how you work:You think systematically and plan ahead, rather than reacting on the flyYou exercise good judgement when conditions are uncertainYou take a conscientious, detail-oriented approach to executionYou're comfortable owning outcomes, not just completing tasksYou stay calm and focused when working through systems, data, and real-world constraintsA structured mindset and a track record of using equipment purposefully in the field matter far more here than flight hours or technical qualifications.Essential RequirementsDegree-level education in a subject with a strong analytical elementBased in the UK, with unrestricted right to workFull UK manual driving licenceWillingness to travel frequently across the UKPractical experience operating UAS, field survey equipment, or similar technical tools in a purposeful context — academic, commercial, or researchStrong technology literacyConfidence working independently in field-based environmentsClear, structured communication skillsA GVC or A2 licence is helpful, but not required at application stage. Why Join sees.aiWork on live, real-world operations — not simulationsBe part of a team deploying advanced UAS systems at scale across the UKGain responsibility early and see the direct impact of your workFast-growing company with real career development opportunitiesBeautiful office location with onsite café, gym, pool, tennis courts, nursery, and parkingAbout sees.aiWe're building the operating system for autonomous UAS operations — enabling advanced systems to be controlled and delivered reliably in real-world environments. Our technology is transforming how critical national infrastructure is inspected: safer, more efficient, and scalable. You'll join a collaborative team at a pivotal stage, where operations are expanding rapidly and your contribution will directly shape how we deliver at scale.
