Based in Hemel Hempstead, this Level 3 geospatial apprenticeship focuses on assisting land surveyors with topographical data collection, 3D scanning, and processing survey data in AutoCAD while completing block-release learning at Dudley College.The VacancyDue to continued growth in the topographical survey department, we now have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Land Surveyor to join our Hemel Hempstead team, who currently provide surveying services to support our clients in the property, civil engineering, oil and gas, nuclear, renewable energy, water and transport sectors in the UK and overseas.The level 3 (L3) apprenticeship will involve block release to Dudley College, at the end of your programme you will receive your geospatial qualification.This is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and ambitious individual to join an already thriving business and start or develop their career as they build on RSK’s established success.Responsibilities will Include:Assisting our Land Surveyors in data collection though multiple practices:Topographical Surveys & Terrain modellingMeasured Building and 3D scanningLearning to process data in survey software and finalise in AutoCADUndertaking any other activities required to help our land surveyors complete their worksCompleting site documentation for site work crewsLearning technical knowledge to further develop into a land surveying careerDrafting data or help finalising reports.Other duties that may include organising equipment and store room, van checks and keeping equipment maintained.What we are looking for:This role will appeal to someone who is interested in starting or already started a career in the land surveying industry and someone who enjoys the variety of working outdoors and in the office. As a minimum the candidate will have strong written and verbal English skills, with GCSE’s in Mathematics and English with a good understanding of Microsoft software such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
