This role will work Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. The successful candidate will need to be flexible at times to ensure a reliable and concentrated approach during trials and periods of runnability issues. Competitive salary, 25 annual days leave plus 8 statutory days, toil, life insurance, pension and cycle to work scheme applicable.ResponsibilitiesJob Duties:Starts concentrated graduate program within Process Engineer duties whilst gaining experience on cross-functional collaboration according to agreed time schedule.Attend & effectively contribute to all meetings as required – (Process MDI, Safety Meetings etc.)Identify the causes of product quality & plant runnability issues, & their most cost-effective solution.Identify process improvements and implement new processes in conjunction with Production Management team.Provide guidance and support the improvement of services to the paper making process to support shift operations as required.Responsibilities (e.g. KPI’s, budget, assignments):Responsible for identifying optimization potential of current processes, maintaining process documents and participating in process improvement projects.Continuously develop ways to reduce production costs by working closely with Production managers, Engineering and Quality team.Statistically record and analyze energy information from instrumentation throughout the to highlight long term process fluctuationsAnalysis and examination of data reporting to assess and report on trends as well as determining improvement processes requiredParticipate long-term trials/projects with relevant departments, determining effectiveness & communicating with suppliers and contractors.Develop deep understanding for line quality inspection system operationContribute to DCS/QCS improvement projects in collaboration with automation teamTake part in plant trials in respect to process development and optimization.Maintain an active awareness of developments in available process control equipment and techniques.Train, coach and support new team members including apprenticesDevelop plans and recommendations for process improvements and CI opportunities.Stand in for Process Engineers for sickness and holiday cover RELATIONSHIPS (i.e. who you will interact with and nature of relationship):Support Production Management daily on process related topicsWork as part of Production team supporting the objectives of Production ManagementWork in good collaboration with all members of the Production, Quality and Engineering teams dailyBroaden network with other Magnera colleagues as necessaryRelationship with central Business excellence team and the site key BE contact personQualificationsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or suitable alternative science or engineering disciplineExperience from 24/7 continuous process environment in either Production, Process or CI roles are seen beneficial.
