This is an excellent opportunity to develop your finance career in a collaborative environment, supporting accurate accounting, financial control and reporting activities.You’ll prepare and post daily and monthly accounting transactions, complete financial reconciliations and help maintain financial ledgers and trial balances. Working closely with colleagues and finance stakeholders, you’ll contribute to effective cost management and the continuous improvement of financial processes.Please note this is a six-month fixed-term contract role within an ideal start date of ASAP.What you’ll be doing:Preparing and posting daily and month-end journals to the Oracle accounting system in line with financial reporting timetablesCompleting financial reconciliations, investigating outstanding items and providing clear explanations for reconciling entriesCalculating, preparing and posting third-party cross-charges across business divisionsProcessing journal requests and producing management information to support cost centre managersAnalysing ledger postings, identifying trends and working with finance stakeholders to resolve queriesMaintaining robust financial controls in line with Group standards, regulatory requirements and the risk and control frameworkProcessing cashbook journals, credit notes and payment requests while supporting the clearance of outstanding itemsSupporting ledger maintenance, systems development, process improvements and wider project activityWho we’re looking for:A graduate qualification, active study towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA, or relevant practical experienceA good understanding of accounting processes and principlesExperience of working independently within a fast-paced and changing environmentIntermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel skills, alongside confidence using Word, PowerPoint and Power BIThe ability to analyse financial information accurately and communicate findings clearlyA collaborative approach, with the confidence to work both as part of a team and on your own initiativeStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlinesExperience using finance systems such as GFAS, Web ADI, Hubble, SRT, Money In/Out or data-loading tools would be advantageousWhatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you.
