This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience across waste management, environmental compliance and site auditing within a fast-paced, global manufacturing business. The role will focus mainly on supporting waste collections and administration, alongside wider EHS duties.Job DescriptionCoordinate and support scheduled waste collections across site, working closely with contractors and internal departmentsCarry out internal waste audits, weekly waste ticket reviews and waste sampling, helping to drive continuous improvement in waste segregation and minimisationSupport environmental monitoring activities, including borehole dip readings, quarterly residue samplingAssist with the weekly environmental audit checker and support wider EHS audits and site inspectionsHelp prepare monthly KPI reports and maintain accurate environmental recordsSupport the investigation and response to noise, odour and dust complaints from the public and regulatorsProvide general administrative support to the EHS team, along with other ad-hoc duties as requiredQualificationsDegree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related technical/scientific discipline (candidates from other disciplines with a genuine interest in environmental compliance and waste management will also be considered)No prior work experience required - full training will be providedCompetent in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelWell organised, with strong attention to detailGood communication skills, comfortable liaising with contractors, regulators and members of the publicA full UK driving licence is beneficialAdditional InformationWhat we offer:Competitive graduate salaryStructured on-the-job training and development within a global businessThe opportunity to build a career in environmental, health & safety or sustainability within the wood panel manufacturing industryA supportive team environment at our Chirk site
