Graduate Revit Technician role focused on developing BIM models and MEP drawings while supporting sustainable building design projects within an engineering consultancyAre you passionate about sustainable building design and want to join a leading independent sustainability and engineering consultancy? We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Revit Technician who is keen to join our Building Information and Modelling (BIM) department.Based at either our new modern head office in central Swindon which has good travel links to London, Bristol and Bath, or our modern Bristol office, you will have the opportunity to expand your skillset and gain invaluable knowledge from other team members, whilst working closely with our other business groups.Starting Salary £26k – £28kRole and ResponsibilitiesGaining knowledge of MEP systems and their design in detailDeveloping skills in Revit, creating complex modelsDetailed understanding of BIM and what its process involvesDeveloping knowledge of relevant standards such as ISO19650 and BSRIA BG/6Woking in accordance with company processesCreating detailed MEP drawings From RIBA Stage 2 through to Stage 4Collaborating with engineers and external design team members to create clash free models relevant to the design stageExperience and QualificationsPrevious experience working within the construction industry, ideally within a design role utilising RevitA keen interest in how buildings work and a pro-active approach to working with engineers is essential in order to provide accurate and useful drawingsSome knowledge or appreciation of the BIM process and standards utilisedGood communication skillsExcellent organisational skillsThe ability to manage and prioritise own workload to meet deadlinesSome work experience within the construction Industry such as placement year in Architecture, engineering consultancy or main contractorGraduate Training ProgrammeOur Graduate programme last around 2-3 years however, this timescale is wholly dependent on the individual paths each person will take. The aim of the programme is to give all graduates a structured pathway for the start of their career.All graduates at Method work on real live projects and learn on the job carrying out tasks for those projects – this programme gives you some insight into what to expect within those two years including the formalities of technical reviews, membership of professional institutions etc.Technical and non technical education such as presentation skills and time management courses etc, will make up a significant part of the programme.
