You may also have opportunities in sectors like Water, Renewable Energy, Industrial, Property, and Buildings both in the UK and abroad. Your work will positively impact the environment and communities.Whilst learning about our business, our values, your team, and most importantly, yourself, you will develop your decision-making, communication, technical, and leadership skills. We offer mentoring and a variety of development activities, providing on-the-job experience and exposure to a diverse range of projects. Once eligible, we will also support you towards gaining Chartership status. Graduate Advisor-Sustainability ResponsibilitiesData Collection and Analysis: Collate, analyse and present client data/ information, gaining an understanding of data requirements, seeking data, conduct data cleansing, and analysis  prior to interpretation. Data may relate to operations of a company or project design (infrastructure design) or relate to site information- anything that helps build an understanding of the project context, and related topics. Research and Analysis: Undertake research (predominantly desktop) including searching for resources with some guidance from team members, collate, analyse and present findings in high quality written text, and where required convert findings into presentation format. Carbon Modelling: For candidates proficient in Excel and/or PowerBi or similar, to be able to use or develop models that can perform simple carbon emissions quantification to pathway or scenarios analysis, and/or be willing to learn use of available software and models to support project team. Consulting Project Content Development: Develop, collaborate and contribute materials to client deliverables, for example slide decks for presentations and client reports. Client Engagement: Assist with client engagement by arranging actions, meetings, events, and supporting materials to promote positive client experiences.Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation and, where relevant, improve performance and fulfill your personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending industry conferences, and reviewing specialist media. Client & Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems. Health, Safety and Environment: Learn appropriate HSE behaviours and always comply with GHD safety standards.RequirementsA degree (or post-graduate qualification) in sustainability, environmental or engineering related discipline. 0-2 years of professional experience related to the role.Able to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week (London, Newcastle, Manchester, or Guildford).Desirable (but not essential)Experience or interest in one or more of the following:Ecology or biodiversityNatural capital valuation or environmental economicsRisk assessment and reporting- nature, climate, or any other sustainability topicsGreenhouse gas quantification or reporting or whole life carbon emissions reductionNature financeSustainable financePersonal qualitiesStrong analytical mindset and attention to detailCuriosity and willingness to learn new technical frameworks and toolsAbility to work collaboratively in a consultancy environmentEnthusiasm for developing a career in sustainability and environmental consulting
