Paralegal role handling commercial insurance property damage and subrogated recovery cases while developing legal and commercial expertise.Job DescriptionWhy join us?DWF are currently seeking to recruit a Paralegal to join their Commercial Insurance (Property Damage) team.The Commercial Insurance Team are instructed by their insurer clients predominantly to pursue subrogated property damage recovery claims.  The team work to recover the insurers' outlay where damage has been caused to their customer's property, including both commercial and domestic premises; as well as handling an increasing number of defender instructions. This is a great opportunity for someone who has recently graduated and is keen to progress their legal career, or for someone with previous experience in property damage who is looking to contribute their existing skillset in a well-established team.The role offers a hybrid working pattern, with attendance required in our Manchester office a minimum of 2 days per week.ResponsibilitiesAssisting senior team member with a varied caseload of property casualty, property damage, product liability and subrogated recovery cases.Prioritising work effectively and maximising efficiency in working practices.Building stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.Developing your technical and commercial knowledge via training or working practice.What will help you succeed in this role?Essential:Relevant Legal qualifications e.g. LLB, LLM.Previous experience working in a Legal environment.The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, whilst working to strict deadlines.Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to quickly and carefully assess files and sensitive data.Computer literate including proficient use of Microsoft Office.Excellent written and verbal communication skills .Desirable:Previous experience handling a property damage related case load or similar work types.Someone who can demonstrate a real desire to develop their career with DWF.What we offer?We are an equal opportunities employer that celebrates diversity, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all.
