DV Commodities currently has over 35 desks, with traders and staff located in London, New York, Chicago, Houston, and Dubai.Overview:As a Software Development Intern, you'll work in small groups within our development team and/or trading teams to assist in building low latency applications, systems and trading tools that will make a direct impact to DV. You'll deliver well-scoped, self-contained projects within our established production codebase, learning to build new functionality that integrates cleanly with mature systems. You'll use AI tools to accelerate your development while taking full ownership of the code you ship.Through your work and other development opportunities, you will grow your technical skills and understand how our technology stack empowers our firm to serve our trading teams.Requirements:Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and expected to graduate between Winter 2027 and Summer 2028Proficient in one or more general purpose programming languages, including C++ and/or PythonAbility to read and navigate an existing codebase and deliver a contained project within itEffective use of AI coding tools paired with the ability to critically review generated code and own its correctnessStrong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills, ideally applied to numerical or performance-sensitive problemsAbility to work onsite at our London office 5 days a week

Now, DV group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a bourgeoning investment adviser.Responsibilities:Work closely with senior traders to learn about proprietary methodologies and trading systemsReal-time risk management in the form of trade entry and risk layoffsBuild, maintain, and improve trading modelsEnhance existing strategies and identify and new opportunitiesLiaise between the trading desk, internal teams, and OTC relationshipsAdditional responsibilities may be driven by the individual’s interests and skillsRequirements:Currently pursuing a master's or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, and expected to graduate by Summer 2026Strong foundation in math, probability, and statisticsDemonstrated ability to learn quickly and perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentAbility to maintain composure and communicate clearly under pressureHigh level of proficiency in Excel and VBAExperience with SQL, statistical modeling, Python, or other programming experience is preferredExceptional problem-solving ability and multitasking skills
