This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career, or a recent graduate, to build hands-on experience across a broad range of finance and accounting functions in a super dynamic environment.The role will be based in our facility in Wallingford, and will require 4 days a week onsite. Responsibilities: Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely approval workflowsPerform bank and credit card reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepanciesPost day-to-day bookkeeping entries and maintain accurate records in the accounting systemPrepare and execute payment runs, including supplier and vendor paymentsSupport month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accrualsMaintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basisAssist in the preparation of management accounts and financial reportsLiaise with internal teams and external vendors to resolve billing or payment queriesHelp ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant financial regulationsSupport the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filingsAssist with audits by preparing supporting documentation and schedulesContribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance functionRequirements:No prior work experience required, we welcome applications from recent graduates and career startersA degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required where professional experience is not heldStrong numerical aptitude and attention to detailGood organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesA proactive attitude and willingness to learnProficiency in Excel / Google Sheets; experience with accounting software is a plusExperience with using LLMs (AI)Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working in a team BenefitsStarting from the interview process and continuing into your career with us, you will be working by our four Operating Principles:Performance: High standards, outstanding results,Impact: Big challenges, bigger resultsCommitment: All in, every timeOne team: One mission, shared successJoining our team and company isn't just about expertise; it's about embracing uncertainty with ambition.
