The Intelligence Analyst Internship is fully remote and requires no travel. Your work location is the city/town/province you will be working from remotely. Interns are also invited to work out of the CrowdStrike office located closest to their remote location.What You'll Do:The Advanced Research Team (ART) within CrowdStrike Intelligence is responsible for researching and publishing on topics related to information security, providing technical expertise to other teams, developing tools to support analysts in their day-to-day duties, and collecting technical artifacts about adversary activity. Aside from working on longer-term research and collection projects, ART is required to provide unique solutions on short notice to serve ad-hoc needs by other teams within CrowdStrike Intelligence.Interns within ART will be assigned a project based on their individual skillset and team needs at the time of the internship, on topics including but not limited to:Develop automated solutions for collecting, processing and analyzing data at scale, e.g. malware samples, network traffic, or Internet-wide scanning dataOperate, extend and create honeypots to identify and detect adversary TTPsPerform vulnerability research, e.g.Analyze vendor patches to recover vulnerability informationIdentify new vulnerabilities in applications or productsDevelop proof-of-concept exploitsCollaborate across other teams at CrowdStrike Intelligence and beyond toSatisfy unique technical collection requirementsInform on information security topicsReproduce emerging vulnerabilities and provide actionable technical informationWhat You'll Need:Currently completing your penultimate year of University (2027 graduate) and working towards a MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.An eagerness to learn through hands-on experience and collaborative projects specific to your internship field.Although CrowdStrike is a primarily remote company, collaboration is intrinsic to the success of our mission. To that extent we are working closely with different teams from the wider mission with the end-goal of tracking the most advanced threat actors and ultimately stopping breaches.ARC Interns will be assisted during the development of projects with well-defined deadlines. The goal is to approach the following topics:Conducting and evaluating open source research on cyber threats.Learning cyber security concepts and threat actor Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).Conducting research on predetermined malware families and learning about various triage techniques.Developing tools and integrating them to high-scale malware processing pipelines.The internship will be scoped in a project to be completed during 12 weeks.What You'll Need:Currently completing your penultimate year of University (2027 graduate) and be working towards a BA or BS / MA or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Information Security, Information Assurance, Information Security Management, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Policy, or a related field.An eagerness to learn through hands-on experience and collaborative projects specific to your internship field.Although CrowdStrike is a primarily remote company, collaboration is intrinsic to the success of our mission.
