DescriptionThe Assistant Building Automation Engineer will participate on both multi-disciplinary and controls-specific engineering teams to assist and support Building Automation Engineering design packages, perform calculations and assist engineering solutions in support of capital and retrofit projects in a variety of locations. Work duties can consist of any of the following depending on client, project, and consultant role:Assists in development of design drawings and specifications for design of primarily HVAC control systems and EPMS, for both PLC-based systems and DDC-based systems (System is client-specific)Assists with mechanical and electrical design teams to develop Sequences of Operations and Point Lists for HVAC control and electrical monitoring of equipment and systemsAssist engineering drawings for control panel and field wiring designs including installation details, bill of material, and P&IDsAssist quality reviews of project submittals.Assist technical bids and managing vendor and subconsultant contractsAssist in the reviewing and approving of vendor and subconsultant drawings, including Sequences of Operation, Points Lists, Engineering Drawings, Bill of Materials, Graphics, and Test ScriptsAssist in Software Bench Tests, Software Factory Acceptance Tests, and Equipment Factory Witness TestsAssist technical assistance during commissioning at project site.Assist compliance with company and site safety policies.Assist multi-consultant and Owner meetings for design changes and implementationAssist production of engineering drawings using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD Electrical, or ePlanAssist RFI responses and associated work plansAssist adherence to client and industry standards and applies client or industry standards, guidelines, specifications, practices and procedures in preparing designs.Performs other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsQualificationsBachelor Degree in Engineering requiredExperience designing BAS systems for large and complex projectsField experience in installation, commissioning, and/or trouble shooting of BAS systems in buildingsAbility to interface, mentor and collaborate effectively with your team membersDemonstrated ability to lead a teamStrong organization, delegation, presentation and communication (both written and verbal) skillsProficient with business and engineering applications.Microsoft Office proficiency are a mustWorking knowledge of Autodesk Revit and drawing production from Revit.Chartered Engineer (CEng) in Mechanical or I&C preferred or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) in Mechanical or I&C preferred

Support the design of high-voltage substations by producing electrical drawings, performing engineering calculations, and assisting with protection and control systems on major UK infrastructure projects.Description As a Graduate P&C engineer, you will assist in the preparation of project documentation working on live substation projects under the guidance of senior engineers. Working for clients such as National Grid, Scottish Power, and Scottish & Southern Energy amongst many, you will be responsible in part for the production of much of the project documentation used on live projects. As a valued member of the design team, you’ll have the chance to work on some major infrastructure projects up and down the country. Working on major substation connection projects both AIS & GIS you’ll be directly involved in the design process, contributing to the success of the business. Job duties:Assist in the design process on a number of live projects, which includes creating electrical schematics, grid plan layouts, electrical schematics, lighting system layout, protection and controls, and site and facility design.
