This is a Graduate FPGA Prototyping & SoC Validation Engineer role at Arm in Cambridge, focused on testing and validating chip designs using FPGA platforms, combining hardware and software debugging in early-stage semiconductor development.We have a fantastic opportunity for motivated and curious engineers to join our FPGA-based prototyping and SoC validation team in Cambridge. Working with some of the world’s leading technology companies, you’ll help ensure Arm IP works reliably in real-world system scenarios. You’ll collaborate with expert engineers across hardware, software and architecture teams, gaining exposure to how cutting-edge products are developed. We work in small teams, so your contributions will have real impact.What you could be doing as a Graduate?You will work on hardware/software co-design, using FPGA-based platforms to prototype and validate full SoC designs before silicon is available. This includes developing and running validation workloads, supporting system bring-up, debugging issues across hardware and software boundaries, and analysing system behaviour. You will also collaborate closely with design, modelling and software teams to improve validation flows, tools and methodologies.We are looking for individuals who:Have strong analytical skills, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and are comfortable working across hardware and software domains.Are curious, proactive, and enjoy collaborating in teams with varied strengths to achieve shared goals.Hold (or are on track to hold) a degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field by the programme start date.Qualities that will help your application stand out:Interest in SoC architecture, hardware/software interaction, or system-level validationProgramming experience in C, C++ or PythonUnderstanding of how software executes on hardware, or exposure to embedded systemsAdditional Information:We encourage early applications as we review them on a first come/first served basis. Please note that relocation support is available for this role for domestic moves within the UK.
